Litigation associated Grant F. Allison testified before the CWRM on behalf of TY Management Corp, owner of Kapalua Plantation Course, which filed a suit against Maui Land & Pineapple Co. for failing to properly maintain the Honokohau Ditch system. The golf courses were denied the use of groundwater for irrigation and have since browned due to severe drought. As the entity responsible for of the control of the groundwater, the CWRM heard testimony from Grant, area farmers and residents affected by the severe drought conditions.
