Harvey Lung is one of Hawaii’s most respected construction law attorneys, with over 45 years of experience representing a diverse array of clients in the construction industry. He has been involved with some of the state’s most notable projects, earning recognition as a leader in construction law, construction defect litigation, delay impact claims, professional negligence claims, and payment disputes.
As a trial lawyer, Mr. Lung has handled hundreds of cases, including high-profile litigation involving the Ward Village project, the Kalia Tower mold infestation, and almost every high-rise condominium built in Kakaako in the last ten years.

Construction Litigation
- Represented Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. in a $17 million mechanics’ lien case against General Growth Properties, achieving full recovery.
- Defended Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo in a $65 million mold infestation claim, securing a settlement for less than 3% of the damages.
- Represented The Hartford Fire Insurance Company in over 20 suretyship cases.
Contract Formation and Negotiation
- Drafted and negotiated contracts for major projects, including:
