COVID-19 PANDEMIC: LEGAL ISSUES FOR HAWAII BUSINESSES

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in widespread federal, state, and local action to control the spread of the virus and protect the health and safety of the people of Hawaii. Governmental action that has included business closures, stay-at-home and work-from-home orders, social distancing requirements, and mandatory quarantining for those visiting or returning to Hawaii (and most recently, those flying inter-island) have wreaked havoc on Hawaii businesses. Very few businesses have avoided the severe adverse effects of these actions and for many Hawaii businesses the COVID-19 pandemic is proving to be devastating.
