Jason Jutz is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. Mr. Jutz graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law, where he also earned certificates from the Environmental Law Program and the Ka Huli Ao Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law. Mr. Jutz received the Amy C. Richardson Award for the Best Paper on Native Hawaiian Law, as well as multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and has been published in the Journal of Animal and Natural Resource Law.
While attending law school, Mr. Jutz served as Co-Editor-In-Chief of the University of Hawaii Law Review, Teaching Assistant in Richardson’s Academic Success Program for Professor Hazel G. Beh’s Contracts courses (I/II), and as Law Clerk/Extern for Associate Justice Richard W. Pollack. Additionally, Mr. Jutz was a member of Richardson’s award winning Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team for two seasons. In 2015, the team was named Pacific Regional Champion. In 2016, the team finished the preliminary rounds in first place and won the award for Best Memorials. Mr. Jutz also garnered individual accolades as a top-ten oralist.
Mr. Jutz holds a B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to law school, Mr. Jutz worked in hospitality management, developing both an intimate understanding of hotel and restaurant operations and business acumen.
