Karin L. Holma, a partner and member of the Bays Lung Rose Holma legal team since
1992, has been appointed to be First Circuit District Court Judge by Chief Justice Mark
E. Recktenwald. The appointment was announced on September 12, 2020.

As a part of Bays Lung Rose Holma for the last 28 years, Karin spent her career on
construction law and litigation matters, as well as on a variety of complex commercial
litigation cases. She was also the managing partner of the firm for five years. She has
held leadership positions in the Hawaii State Bar Association, Rotary Club of Honolulu,
Building Industry Association of Hawaii, and is a past member of the Planning
Commission for the City and County of Honolulu.

Karin’s last day with the firm is November 6. Her partners and colleagues at Bays Lung
Rose Holma congratulate her on her achievement and wish her much success in her
new position on the bench.
