Overview

Matthew Shannon is a partner in the firm’s litigation department, focusing primarily on real estate, construction, and complex commercial litigation. He regularly represents developers, contractors and design professionals in all aspects of construction and real estate law. He also maintains a strong insurance defense practice, representing attorneys, accountants, condominium boards, and other professionals. He has been repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers in the practice areas of construction, real estate, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Shannon earned his law degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Shannon is involved in numerous environmental organizations. He was a past board member of the Hawaii Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and is currently a board member of Re-Use Hawaii.
