Christian Chambers is a partner in the firm’s litigation department, specializing in complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, foreclosure litigation, condominium law, and health care disputes. He frequently serves as insurer-appointed counsel for clients involved in intricate tort and business disputes, leveraging his comprehensive legal expertise to secure favorable outcomes.
Mr. Chambers is known for his ability to handle high-stakes cases across a range of industries. His experience includes representing publicly traded companies, major landowners, creditors, and individuals in disputes involving construction defects, foreclosures, industrial accidents, and bankruptcy proceedings.
Experience
- Represented Queen’s Medical Center, the largest medical provider of hospital services in the State, in a complex commercial dispute against Kaiser Permanente and multiple re-pricing entities regarding alleged fraudulent payment practices. The case settled amicably.
- Represented one of Hawaii’s most prominent condominium developers against allegations of construction and design defects in a newly constructed high-rise project. Successfully resolved the allegations without litigation, and under favorable terms for the client.
- Represented landowner in numerous lawsuits arising out of an industrial accident, which caused multiple fatalities. Successfully negotiated early settlements of the lawsuits and collateral claims against insurers, which resolved the litigation at no cost to the client.
- Represented a group of creditors in one of the largest, and most complex, bankruptcy proceedings in the history of the State. The case was resolved by the debtors agreeing to more than double the payments to their unsecured creditors.
- Represented a publicly traded investment firm in connection with the foreclosure of a major beachfront resort property.
- Represented a publicly traded banking institution in numerous lending and foreclosure matters throughout the State of Hawaii.
